Iris Scott - Dreamlike painting with fingertips

"My name is Iris Scott, and I am here to revolutionize the art world with the tips of my fingers. I am going to continue painting for the next 60-70 years of my life until I am completely blind or unable to move my hand across a canvas. I am interested in two things: 1) getting my paintings into museums so that little girls can see women artists celebrated as much as their male peers, and 2) Helping humanity think of animals as equals: like us, they are divine beings - let’s paint animals, not eat them.

Iris Scott was born in Maple Valley, Washington, in 1984. Now she lives in Brooklyn, New York and she is a contemporary American visual artist and the
best known artist for pioneering finger painting.
Iris Scott uses "vivid colors and vivid images" to represent in a profound manner a variety of subjects from the natural world.
She was brought up by hippie parents in a farm home environment in close contact with nature, many of whose elements were to emerge in her artistic themes. She graduated in Painting from the Washington State University in 2006. A few years later, she discovered the usefulness of her own fingers a paintbrushes, which led to the rapid development of his own artistic style, described by critics as impressionistic and dream-like.
Scott´s art is represented by galleries in New York City and San Diego.
